Famous Italian LGBT rights activist stopped by Russian Police in Sochi

Famous Italian LGBT rights activist, Vladimir Luxuria, was stopped by the Russian Police in Sochi, on Sunday, while waving a rainbow flag with written 'Gay is OK'.

Vladimir was in Sochi for the Olympics.

The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emma Bonino, said she is working on the case.

LGBT right activist and Rome councilwoman Imma Battaglia said that Policemen used a "brute force" in order to stop her.

Vladimir Luxuria is a well known LGBT rights activist and she bacame the first transgender MP in the world when was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2006 for the Communist Party.
